The problem is translating possession into English, is it can be either ignored or easily mistranslated. Especially if you want the Bible to say something you are determined to make it say.

In Ancient Koine Greek there is 30 ways to say the word "the." In both English and Hebrew there is only one way to say the word "the." How do you translate 30 ways to say Greek "the" into English one "the"?

That's because in Greek, "the" has 30 different spellings and definitions, that English does not. In English, "possession" is described in the "sentence structure".

Which leads to different interpretations of the Holy Bible. In the lost ancient Koine Greek, each individual word describes the possession using a different spelling.

This makes Greek far superior than other languages, which is why God chose Greek to speak to you in the NT. Part of eating meat not milk, is to LearnReadGreek.

Possession "the" in the lost ancient Koine Greek, describes if "the" is male or female or neuter, and if singular or plural. But most important for us to know is status, i.e. "absolute," or "nominated absolute," or "new (adopted)," or "accused," or "vocalized."

5th age is, "Archaic Greek," dates roughly 800–479 BC. This is the Greek culture that followed the Greek Dark Age and preceded the Classical Period. This Archaic period saw many changes in Greek language, art, architecture, and politics.  

4th age, travels even further back into the time is,  Porto-Greek, the ancestor of the Greek language, which emerged around 2500 BC. It originated from the diversification of Porto-Ind-European.  

Understanding Porto-Indo-European helps explain the geographic distribution of related languages across Europe and parts of Asia, including the diffusion patterns of language families, google it!  

3rd age, is the next original Greek, "Mycenaean Greek." 

Then earlier we have the 2nd age, Greek spoken during the Linear B texts, thought to be 1500BC years old, older than Hebrew.  

And the oldest known Greek, the 1st age, the birth of Greek? Not yet translated, but found in the same building fire, at the same time as Linear B, is Linear A, which date truthfully can only be said to be unknown. Proving we do not know the age of Greek, or when it first began.

"Greek deep thought" 30 different definitions to say one English word "the" in ancient Koine Greek, google it! Google explains only three ways to say "the" in "modern Greek", and that is the genders; masculine, feminine, neuter. Greek genders are kinda like English "Miss, Ms, Mrs" and "Mr" you expect next word is going to be masculine, (but you never know today!) "Miss" is followed with only a single feminine gender, "Ms" is always an unknown but you only expect feminine gender to follow, and "Mrs" you expect is followed with a married feminine gender.  

As you already know, there is only one meaning to say "the" in English. Ancient Koine Greek, takes "the" to five more grammar levels that's not used in English grammar, called "possession" for each gender. 

This is called "deep Greek thinking" 30 different ancient Koine Greek definitions that don't necessarily translate into English. And with that translation dilemma, it means your English translation is really only teaching you half the Bible story! And enables people to twist Scripture into what they want Scripture to say, (Acts 20:30). 

Ancient Greek "possession" grammar are:

#1. nominative (appointed absolute), 

#2. accusative (accusing of possession), #3. genitive (absolute always was and is), #4. dative (new adopted possession), 

#5. vocative (vocalized possession).   

And lastly, "the" in both modern and ancient Koine Greek, will also tell you if "the" possession is plural or singular, which as you know English "the" cannot do.   

However, in translating you also need to take careful consideration of both that Greek society culture, and Greek slang. 

EXAMPLE:

Greek culture difficult to translate:

• "Ballpark figure"
